Biological nutrient recovery with PHOSPAQ®
As phosphate becomes scarce, phosphorus recovery becomes more commercially interesting. PHOSPAQ™ allows facilities to harvest commercial phosphate, by adding magnesium oxide. It is then transformed into struvite, harvested from the bottom of the reactor and separately contained. Struvite is an excellent slow-release, EU-approved fertilizer. Compared to e.g. dosing of iron salts, PHOSPAQ™ is a more cost-effective technology for the recovery of phosphorus.

Profitable nutrient recovery
Although base metals are valuable, recovery via metal hydroxide precipitation is seldom economically attractive. That’s why Paques has developed superior methods for nutrient recovery from low concentrations. Paques THIOTEQ™Metal and SULFATEQ™ technologies offer the alternative for economically attractive metal recovery. These processes produce sulfide from elemental sulfur or sulfate under ambient conditions. Our high-rate systems have proven to be reliable and efficient.
